I heard a beautiful song, and thought of you
Draped in your sarong, no one ever knew
How did it turn so wrong, stray moments too few
And now the crowds throng, and only i see you.
A cloud of crows fly by, you smile on cue
A prolonged goodbye, the sky no longer blue
A starry mid-night sky, our promises untrue
Asleep on a hammock, it was just us two
Your dirty torn sock, eyes sparkled with dew
The memory faded, and i still think of you.

Oh, this is great! I really, really like this poem. Reminds me a bit of some songs by Sonata Arctica, not quite understandable, maybe not even with a sense in it, but still so, so beautiful! (And that´s a big compliment from my mouth, I freaking love Sonata Arctica.)
Why thank you, I'm flattered, i have not heard of Sonata Arctica, but will lend them a ear in the near future.
Thanks for reading and commenting!
